Hey bro.....Actually, Pitch is defined for screw gauges where it is defined as the forward movement of the rotating drum when it undergoes a complete rotation. As in Vernier calipers there are no rotating screw therefore there is no pitch, however the minimum measurable forward movement of the vernier scale is 1 mm in the main scale. Thus its pitch can be said as 1 mm....Hope never make simple mistakes Again....
