HELP with 3 questions WILL GIVE A MEDAL!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the sequence arithmetic? If so, identify the common difference. 13, 20, 27, 34, ...

OpenStudy (zehanz):

In an arithmetic sequence, the difference between consecutive terms is always the same.

I just wanted to let u know i got the last two! I will erase them

OpenStudy (zehanz):

ALL THIS WORK FOR NOTHING??? :( –7 , 3, 13, 23, ... is arithmetic. Think of a.s.'s as linear equations. (with straight line as graph). Same thing is happening here. Even the same kind of formula: If a is the name of the sequence, then a(n)=p*n+q is a formula for it. Here we have: n = 0, 1, 2, 3 a(n)=-7, 3, 13, 23 First, the number q: that is a(0), so it is -7 Second, the number p: that is the constant increase you get every time, so it is 10. Formula: a(n)=10n-7

OpenStudy (zehanz):

Just kidding ;)

thanks so much! i really apperciate you help!
