All linear lines have the equation y=mx+c C is where the line crosses the y axis and m is the gradient. This line has the equation y = 5x+0 So it crosses the y axis at 0 and the gradient or slope is 5.

As long as their is only 1 y and not 2y or 6y etc then the slope is always the number in front of the x.
