area of the tip of cone is half a circle (pi r^2)/2 and r is half of diameter the area of botom is 2 triangles that are same size base*r again r is half of diameter and the total area is half the circle + area of bottom.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should the final answer be 26.39? Triangle = 8.64 Semi circle = 17.75?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4.8*(3.6*(1/2))+3.14*(3.6*(1/2))^2 18.81

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could be wrong tho 4.8*(3.6*(1/2))+3.14*(3.6*(1/2))^2 ( ) the 2 triangles +( ) the circle oh wait i forget 2 half it you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4.8*(3.6*(1/2))+1/2*(3.14*(3.6*(1/2))^2) = 13.73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I my anwser or what should the final anser be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 13.73

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A = (1/2)bh + (1/2)(pi)r^2 A = (1/2)(3.6)(4.8) + (1/2)(3.14)(3.6/2)^2 A = 8.64 + 5.09 = 13.73 Round off to nearest tenth: A = 13.7 timo is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooh :) i am right
