Choose the equation that represents the graph below. y =-3/4 x + 4 y =-4/3 x + 4 y =3/4 x - 4 y =4/3 x - 4 My answer is y =4/3 x - 4 Am I right? :)

Work out gradient by doing change in y divided by change in x and find the y intercept by seeing where it crosses the y axis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It crosses the y axis at 4 so you know it must be y=mx+4

You can also see that for every 3 it goes across on the x axis it goes down by 4 on the y axis. So that is -4/3 and that gives you the gradient. Meaning the answer is y=-4/3x + 4

Oh ok! Thank you do much! :)

That's ok, in future remember that if the line goes down then the number in front of the x must be negative.
