Simplify. f-1g-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Darrius the problem is f^1g^-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st

hero (hero):

\[f^1g^{-1} = \frac{f}{g}\]

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so negative powers indicate fractions so \[g^{-1} = \frac{1}{g} \] so the problem of \[f^1 g^{-1} means f \times \frac{1}{g}.... or..... \frac{f \times 1}{g}\]

OpenStudy (darrius):

Tell me if im wrong or not

OpenStudy (darrius):

Simplified term of f-1g-1 is f-g-2**.
