Martha makes punch by mixing one 2-liter bottle of soda with a half-gallon container of ice cream. If she wants to make punch for a large reception, how many 2-liter bottles of soda will she need to mix with three gallons of ice cream? 3 12 9 6 please help me!

So if we let Bottles of Soda be X. Then we can form two equations. 2x=1/2 ax=3 If we solve the first equation we get 1/4 gallons of icecream to buckets of soda. Therefore if we seperate the 3 bottles of soda into 1/4, so how many quarters go into 3. We will know the number of bottles needed. In this case 12 bottles is the answer.
