OpenStudy (prakharluv):

The intuitive notion that the light travels in a straight line seems to contradict what we know that the light is an electromagnetic wave of wavelength belonging to the visible part of the spectrum. How to reconcile the two facts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

light is a transverse wave which travels in all direction, in a straight line ie.. electrical field and magnetic field is perpendicular say along X & Y axis & assume that your resulting EM wave is also perpendicular along the Z axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Neglect the wavelength.. as its too small to be detected..!! (by naked eyes)

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

I don't see where the contradiction lies. Can you elaborate?
