Could someone please help me with this?!?! In quadrilateral JKLM,

Directrix (directrix):

The first step is to draw and label a diagram that reflects the given information.

Directrix (directrix):

After you solve for x, substitute that value of x into (x + 10) with is the measure of angle K.

Directrix (directrix):

Theorem: The sum of the interior angles in a quadrilateral is 360. Post what you get for angle K's value. Somebody will check it. Okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So x is 160?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

Directrix (directrix):

Something is not right here. Check the angle measures given in the problem. I need to check where the angles are on the diagram.

Directrix (directrix):

My error @WhiteFlower The equation should be set equal to 360. The sum of the interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360. So, 110 + x + 10 + x + 90 = 360 Solve for x. I need to correct my diagram while you solve the equation.

Directrix (directrix):

Corrected Diagram

Directrix (directrix):

2x + 210 = 360 Solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

110 + x + 10 + x + 90 = 360 2x+210 = 360 2x=360-210=150 =150/5=75?

Directrix (directrix):

150/2 = 75

Directrix (directrix):

So, what is the measure of angle K if angle K = x + 10. x + 10 = 75 + 10 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

85

Directrix (directrix):

That is what I got.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for explaining it!!

Directrix (directrix):

Great news. Glad to help. Sorry about the error. I owe you one "free" help session. Let me know when you need more help. Ping me by writing @Directrix
