Factor. Check by multiplying: 3x^9-6x^7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=3x^7(x^2-2) when then equals 3x^9-6x^7

1st you have to take out the GCF (greatest common factor) which would be: \[3x ^{7}\] after you take out the GCF you are left with: \[(x ^{2} - 2)\] So now it looks like this: \[3x ^{7} (x ^{2} - 2 )\] And when you multiply it back out you get : \[3x ^{9} - 6x ^{7}\]
