Cut the figure apart. Find separate areas and add. Hold on while I cut. You can look up the formula (if you don't know) for the area of a trapezoid and the area of a right triangle. Okay?
its just really confusing how its set up?
Take a look at the diagram now.
is the answer 48.96?
Now is the time for you to find the area of the trapezoid with bases of lengths 18 and 11.75 and height 6.12. What is the formula? @Foreverisabell
I don't yet know the answer. I am trying to help you learn how to find the answer without guessing. lol
Okay I got it thanks one more please!
I have to finish the first problem.
I finished it. I got the answer.
its 91.035.
> is the answer 48.96? NO
I know. that. Can you just help me on the other one? thank you.
What did you get for the area of that trapezoid in the first problem you posted in this thread?
>its 91.035 NO
it is 91.035 The area is base 1 + base 2 time h divided by 2
@Directrix
Oh, I thought you were talking about the entire figure. For the trap, I got 1/2*6.12*(11.75 + 18). Does that equal what you got for the trapezoid?
>it is 91.035 Correct for the trapezoid
Im not sure it just says find the area of the trapezoid?
What did you get for the right triangle? (on first problem)
I have not looked at the second problem. We have not yet resolved the first problem. Or, I haven't.
Yes we have. So can you help me on the next problem please
What did you get for the triangle area in the first problem? If you work with me, I'll work with you on that second problem. Deal?
Can you help me on the second one first though I really need help
I'm working on the second problem while you find the area of a right triangle with legs 13.42 and 12. After you get the area of that triangle, I have a question about that figure in the second question.
I know the answer to the second question - just waiting for that area of the right triangle to complete problem 1.
Your confusing me. Can you tell me the answer for the second one & I will help you with the first one here in a second.
@Directrix
The area of that right triangle - post it on this thread so we can complete problem 1. THEN, we will talk about the second problem.
