Solve for x: (5/x^2 -1) - (2/x) = (2/(x+1)) Supposed to be using similar methods to simplifying rational expressions. When I work it out I get this equation: -4x^2 + 7x + 2 = 0 I can't get past this, I have tried factoring this but it does not work because nothing multiplies to 2 and adds to 7. I think maybe I did it wrong, but i keep coming to that equation. Anyone have any ideas?
