n^n=10^16. How do I solve for n?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i don't think there is an algebraic solution, you have to approximate using computational methods you could use newtons method for approximating zeros http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newtons_method

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

guess and check will tell you n<14

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

its also greater than 13.9

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

@trungsaid , where'd you get this question?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

13.97 < n < 13.98
