trapezoidal rule is a numerical approximation to a definite integral when the integrand is a non-elementary function, like \[\frac{\sin x}{x},e^{x^2}\]
Is Trapezoidal Rule the most easiest rule than in sympsons rule?
is there any formula for this rule?
please answer my question. It is an individual grade for us. Some of my classmate are same to my question
It's Simpson's Rule just to correct your spelling mistake :3.
And Simpson's Rule would give you a much accurate result than the Trapezoidal Rule.
If you were to calculate the area of a region. Most commonly, under a curve.
The Trapezoidal and Simpson's Rule are just another way to finding the area under a curve etc. That's probably all you need to know.
thank you. and where thus this function continous?
If you're in college/university and you're studying a course that relates to this, then they would delve deeper in. But I'm afraid I'm not in college or uni, so I can't help you there.
function continuous? What are you talking about?
but how can i easy calculate trapezoidal rule?
By using your knowledge on the equation for area of a trapezium. What's the equation for the area of a trapezium?
b-a/n
...Have you learnt anything on the area of a trapezium?
Because if you haven't you wouldn't want to delve any deeper on this topic relating to the Trapezoidal rule...
It is b-a/2n the formula for the area of the trapezoidal rule
Yes that's correct. So what are you trying to ask about how to calculate something easily using the trapezoidal rule?
It's easy to calculate the are once you know the trapezoidal rule. That's it.
area*
yes,is there any formula for the trapezoidal rule?
much easier to calculate for trapezoidal i mean
There is no other formula.Only this formula. ∫abf(x)dx=b−a2n[f(x0)+2f(x1)+...+2f(xn−1)+f(xn)].
Dude, all you need to do to make it easier for you, is to use "common sense". That's all you need to have to do questions involving the trapezoidal rule.
I seriously do not contemplating on remembering big equations such as what reya wrote down. Instead, you can use logic to guide you. I've had success not with remembering massive equations and formulas, but using basic knowledge and understanding. That's all there is to it.
contemplate*
thank you.
can i ask about indeterminate forms and improper integral?
