I believe that the costs of the Korean war were justified because the US wanted Communism to stop. Due to the fact they knew what the Soviet Union/North Korea had done to itself and the US just wanted to save the lives of South Korea. The US wanted to stop fascism in the Korean war and wanted to prove to the Soviets that we were better. Because North Korea was being supplied by the Soviets and the South by us the US and Soviet Union were in a way at war.
