What is a product of -24 and a sum of -14? I know that - -6 * 8 = 24 -8 * 6 = 24 -2 * 12 = 24 -12 * 2 = 24 -6 * 4 = 24 -4 * 6 = 24 But when any of them are added, none of them equal -14. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... Can anyone help?

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

-6*-8 = 24 and -6 + -8 = -14

I don't know how I could have overlooked something so simple! Thanks.

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

They both have to be negative. -*- = + and - + - = -

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

No problem (:
