You first find the area of the rectangle and then the circle. If you put together the two semi-circles on each end, you get 1 whole circle with a diameter of 5.

The area of the circle is pi*r^2
                                 =pi*2.5^2
                                 = 6.25pi

The area of the rectangle is length * width
                                        = 15*5
                                        = 75

Therefore, the total approximate area of the figure is 6.25pi + 75 = 94.625 cm^2
