You have a right triangle and to find length of g, you need to use Tangent. We have the angle 32 degrees and we are given a side opposite to it which is 1700 - 5.2 = 1694.8 Now we simply do the following: Tan(x) = Opposite side/Adjacent side (Here we are looking for the adjacent side that is g) Tan(32) = 1694.8/g Calculate Tan(32) in a calculator and you get about 0.661. So, 0.661 = 1694.8/g g = 1694.8/0.661 g = 2564 Therefore, the length of side g is approximately 2564 ft.
