I would agree with A because the Japanese thought that the US had a huge supply of atomic weapons and didn't want to go into utter-destruction. The atomic weapons on Japan actually saved more lives fro the us and japan cause the war would have continued and the total lives would have exceed the lives lost at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
