Opposite over adjacent=Tangent \[Tan(43)=\frac{ 6.5 }{ x }\rightarrow \frac{ 9.33 }{ 1 }=\frac{ 6.5 }{ x }\] I think you've got it from there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't actually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. ok. How bout this? \[9.33x=6.5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still don't get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, they give you the angle of 43 and tell you that the opposite side is 6.5cm. Then they ask for the length of the adjacent side. Soh Cah Toa. Tangent=opposite/adjacent. Therefore: \[Tan(43)=\frac{ 6.5 }{ x }\] Correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4.4 centimeters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hang on a sec, something isn't right here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I jacked up the Tan(43) up there. Tan(43)=.933 So the answer is 6.97 or 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get .933 i got something else
