UPS Next Day Air costs $42.81 for a 1 pound package. This reflects an increase of 4.9%. What was the cost to ship this package before the air increase? Round to the nearest cent. Comparing against data in problem 4, what is the difference in price between UPS and FedEx to ship a 1 pound package overnight? Would you choose FedEx or UPS to ship your package? Why?

I am actually stumped on this problem because it has 4.9% and 5.9% and also the $42.81 Still need to use the New Value - Previous Value = Previous value x 100. I was working it as 42.81 x 4.9% = 89.80 and then I did 42.81 x 5.9% = 108.12 I don't understand the book isn't helping and the video they provided as hints for this weeks assignment is no help either
