the positive square root of 112 is between ....
Come on now, this is the third time you've asked this kind of question a row. \[10^{2} = 100\] and \[11^{2} = 121\] so since 112 is between 100 and 121, the answer is 10&11. do you get what I'm saying here??
not at all. please explain further. i dont have a teacher, sorrrrry!
Okay. So, can you tell me what is the square root of 81 without looking it up?
9?
yup. so if you square 9, you get 81. and if you square 8 you get 64 and square 10 is 100. 81 falls in between 64 and 100, just like 9 falls between 8 and 10. the square of a number always falls in between the square of a smaller and a larger number. So since the square root of 112 isn't an integer, we can guesstimate where it is without pulling out our calculators. Since we know the square of 10 is 100 and the square of 11 is 121, we know that whatever the square root of 112 is it has to fall in between 10 and 11. get it better?
no it isnt. its not your fault though , i have a learning disorder from lack of fluids in my brain.
