Help! i must fin x in a triangle where i know one angle and two sides!!!?? it has two sides of 6 and 7 and a 30 degree angle opposite from the side length 6; picture attached

@thestudentinneed Just asking, do you have the 30 degree angle located in the right place on the diagram? Adjacent and opposite angles are not the same.
yeah thats how it is on the paper I'm doing trig if that helps at all
Use the law of sines. Here, \(A,B,C\) represent side lengths with angles \(a,b,c\) opposite them.\[\frac{\sin a}{A} = \frac{\sin b}{B} = \frac{\sin c}{C}\]This is a good formula to memorize.
> a 30 degree angle adjacent from the side length 6 The diagram shows a 30-degree angle OPPOSITE a side of length 6.
You're working with the ambiguous case so there may be zero, one, or two solutions.
oh sorry so i typed it wrong but i still have no clue
how do i put in the different numbers to solve it though? @yakeyglee
I you typed the problem wrong, my suggestion is to close this thread and open a new one with the correct information. It's your call, though.
i just fixed it
You could take \(A=6\), \(B=7\), \(a=60^\circ\), and \(b=x\).
CORRECTION: \(\color{red}{a=30^\circ}\)
okay thanks ill try that
alright so far this is what i have|dw:1361502130124:dw|
