Can you guys make any changes in my essay? It's a response to literature essay. I'll post it in the comments.

The story, “Dancing Miranda,” is a story about a little girl who changes her perspective of dancing because she didn’t hear a full conversation her mother, Mrs. Montero, and dance instructor had. Their conversation was about her mother’s childhood and that made Miranda lose her charisma to dance.
At the beginning of the story, Miranda was gracefully skipping up the ramp and was excited as any other performer would be for their dance rehearsal. Dancing was her passion. Her dance instructor, Mrs. Sommers, had even told Mrs. Montero that it was her “inborn talent, a gift” while they had their chat before the rehearsal started. Miranda, who was on the edge of the side curtains, was listening in on their chat and overheard them talking about her mother’s childhood disease called polio. Their discussion crossed Miranda’s mind the whole time in her first performance.
After her performance, her mother was waiting for her and once she came, she put her arm around Miranda. Mrs. Montero told Miranda that Mrs. Sommers explained that she thinks they got nervous or stage fright during their performance but she knew that that wasn’t the case. Miranda looked up at her mother with eyes overflowing with tears. She explained to her that she overheard them talking about her disease (polio) when she was younger.
At the end of the story, Miranda’s mother tells her that she only heard the first part of their conversation and that wasn’t the significant part. The important part of their chat was that her Mrs. Montero felt free when she saw Miranda dance happily with the music. She explained that seeing her is more beautiful than all of her childhood day-dreams. She feels a wonderful lightness inside of her when Miranda leaps and leaves the ground and that it is a gift to watch her move. Miranda’s sadness lifts away from her when she gazed into her mother’s dark, frolicking eyes. Mrs. Sommers called her back to get on stage and she danced with all her heart. She felt the energy rush through her body as she spun to the front of the stage. Then the music ascended and she felt as if her and her mother were floating through the sky.
The theme of this story is that you should not jump to conclusions. Miranda only listened to the first part of her mother’s chat and that made her attitude change towards dancing. If I had found out that my mother had polio, I’d be devastated too knowing that my mother wasn’t able to do things normal kids were able to do. Once she heard the whole story, she learned that her mother isn’t suffering emotionally from polio and that she loves watching Miranda dance rhythmically around on stage. Listening to part of a story doesn’t always give you the most important details to it.
