Can i please get some help? Solve the following inequation 4x^2 - 12x + 10>0

OpenStudy (aonz):

i dont think it crosses the X axis

OpenStudy (aonz):

@sirm3d @.Sam. can i please get some help

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

are you sure that it's all your question..? there is no inequality sign in it...

OpenStudy (aonz):

my bad

sam (.sam.):

Yes it doesn't intersect the x-axis

|dw:1361537183250:dw|

OpenStudy (aonz):

now what should i write as answer?

OpenStudy (aonz):

it says the graph is above 0 so... idk :P

sam (.sam.):

OpenStudy (aonz):

haha well im not sure what i write as my answer

sam (.sam.):

Uhh

sam (.sam.):

Did you learn complex number?

OpenStudy (aonz):

think so

OpenStudy (aonz):

actually no

OpenStudy (aonz):

i just started year 11 so think that lol

OpenStudy (aonz):

the answers normally look like 3>x>2 But this one doesnt cross x axis so idk what to write!!!

OpenStudy (aonz):

actually i mean 2>x>3 :P

sam (.sam.):

Then can you write "no solution"?

OpenStudy (aonz):

ahh good one :)

OpenStudy (aonz):

lol thank you

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

wait...the question is 4x^2 - 12x + 10>0 now if we consider the graph.., isn't any value of x will make the function (4x^2 - 12x + 10) greater than zero? which mean that it's not 'no solution' but the solution is all x in Real Number..

OpenStudy (aonz):

OH thank you!!!
