CREATIVE COMPREHENSION -- CHARACTER CONNECTIONS Show your understanding of story events and character traits. Create something totally new which did not exist in the original story but which you feel might have logically occurred either before, during, or after the story (based upon the general plot and what you know about the characters and their feelings). Your goal is to show what you understand about the story you read. Be sure to include: Title of your selected story. Name of the creative option type you selected for your story

CREATIVE OPTION LIST - READ and SELECT CAREFULLY Creative products - whatever you create should be in the form and style of that actual thing, be it an obituary, advertisement, postcard, etc. Your creations should be realistic and appear "as if" they had been a part of the story's plot (either before it began, after it ended, or at some point during the story's action that the reader did not read, but might have logically happened). Time, effort, and creativity count! Student explanation (explain in a few sentences why you created what you did and how it reveals something important about the story's situation and the characters involved).
