Chapter 2 They planned for the wedding to be in a week, so they began the preparations: the invitations, the clothes, the room, everything. The day of the wedding seemed quite far to Princess Anna and Prince Edward. With the endless fittings, they did not get to see each other much. Finally the wedding day came. It took two hours to get the couple ready for the walk down the aisle. Princess Anna and Prince Edward said their vows. They kissed a forever-lasting kiss. With guests from the city and from Prince Edward’s own city and parents filled the banquet hall. When Queen Marianna stood up everyone went silent. “I invite you all to a ceremony next month, the last Friday. The ceremony is to crown the newlywed’s king and queen. Come in your finest clothes. And be presentable.” Queen Marianna's speech surprised Princess Anna. She would need to learn as much as possible in a month about being queen. In the month that followed, Princess Anna learned as much as possible quite quickly. By the time it was the day of the ceremony, she knew as much as Queen Marianna did. Princess Anna answered each question correctly whereas Prince Edward did not. The first answer he got incorrect he said, “I’m sorry I didn’t learn all I needed to be taught. Might I have another week?” “No you may not, either you answer the question or you get a mark. Moreover, you do not ask the questions, I do. Do you know the answer Queen Anna?” Princess Anna was already being crowned queen of Sativa. The priest that was crowning her paused and waited for a response. She looked at her mother for her approval. Her mother nodded. “Yes I do, the answer is copper.” Her mother smiled at her, but her father frowned. That frown made her frown as well. “Why Your Majesty, what is the issue?” asked a city noble. “I do not desire to state my dilemma in public. I would like to have a discussion in private to my father.” The priest who was just putting the crown on her head said, “it can wait a while.” “No, it cannot. It is urgent.” “Well your just going to have to remain until I have this crown situated flawlessly on your head.” “Well give pleasure to hasten up.” “My do you converse like a queen. No I won’t.” “I speak like a queen because I am queen.” Anna’s eyes went straight to her mother. Marianna had seen the frown that her husband was giving. “How dare you disappoint my daughter Gordon?” “She’s my daughter too.” “No she’s not she is your stepdaughter.” “Then where is my actual father?” asked Queen Anna. There was a murmur in the crowd. “I am your biological father,” said Prince Edward’s father. “So I married my own stepbrother,” Queen Anna gasped. “So you were frowning because he isn’t as excellent as me. I demand to know who taught my husband to be king.” By that time, everything was heating up. In addition, the priest had finished putting the crown on her head “I did,” said her father. “Well you did a terrible job of training him,” she said. “I taught him a lesson a day.” “Well I taught her five lessons a day.” “Well that is because she wanted to study more than I,” Prince Edward said.
