How do you find reference angles. Ex. 1. Find the reference angle for -71° 2. Find the reference angle for 697° 3. Find the reference angle for -987° 4. Find the reference angle for -467° 5. Find the reference angle for 323°

its 180 - that angle do consider signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180-(-71)= 180+71=251

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that go for all angles, because if you do that for example 3 you get 1167°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

I'm pretty sure that rule only applies to angles that are in the second quadrant.
