3/x+13/x-11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{a}{b}+\frac{c}{d}=\frac{ad+bc}{bd}\] \[\frac{3}{x}+\frac{13}{x-11}\] use the same method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{3(x-11)+13x}{x(x-11)}\] then clean up with some algebra

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/x+13/x-11=3*x+x*13/x*x-11=3x+13x/x^2-11=16x/x^2-11=16/x-11=16-11*x/x=16-11x/x=-11x+16/x=-11+16/x I think I did it right
