Heres my question

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Do one operation at a time: 2/4 = 1/2, so the answer is a fraction that has no number in the numerator and a 2 in the denominator.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

x^3/x^2 = x^(3-2) = x Answer has x in numerator

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

y^4/y^5 = y^(4-5) = y^-1 = 1/y Answer has y in denominator

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

z^3/z = z^(3 - 1) = z^2 Answer has z^2 in numerator a^2/a = a^(2 - 1) = a Answer has a in numerator
