If you apply 1.0 N of force to lift an object with a single-fixed pulley, then what is the resistive force?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since Mechanical advantage of a single fixed pulley is 1. And MA=F(resistance)/F(effort) then the answer is 1, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically 1=f(r)/1, which makes the answer 1, Am I right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer choices are .5, 1, 1.5, and 2. But I am guessing the answer is 1 and I need someone to help confirm my answer.
