starting the course and need to get some bearings - the exercise question in the Getting Started sheets. I'm having difficulty entering Exercise #2: Positive Root fo the following et al. After entering the 34*x^2.....-510, how is the rest entered Recall: etc.? I've been dabbling with creating applets from code I found on google but this is my first attempt at writing.

I think all they want you to do is to substitute a, b, and c with the coefficients of the equation they wrote and type the quadratic function in to Python just like you would in a calculator. Don't worry about all the x's and variables and such yet because there's no way you'd know how to use them if you haven't started the class yet.
