Geometry 19 Online
OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

If the measure of two angles have a sum of 180 degrees then the angles are supplementary. M

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From Geometry, we know that if the sum of the measures of 2 angles (A and B) is 180, then <A and <B are supplementary. Law of Detachment says in p implies q, if p is true, then q is true..since you are given that m<A+m<B=180 as p then A and B as supplementary (as q) must be true.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Well I know it's Valid, but I'm not sure which law I would've used to figure out that it was valid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

laaw of detachment

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

What's the best way of figuring out which law it is and the meanings of those laws? Also, could you help me with the other three?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it states that in a conditional statement, if the premise is true, then the conclusion is true..and since you are given a true premise then the conclusion must be true...law of detachment...to say it in short..law of detachment involves one conditional statement.while law of syllogism involves two

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Ohh, okay, that makes sense. Thank you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is an example for both laws Law of detachment if it is sunny,i go to school. it is sunny the i goto school Law of syllogism if it is sunny, i go to school. if i go to school, i meet my bestfriend it is sunny so i meet my bestfriend

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

So it's like Law of Detachment If it rains, I will stay inside. It is raining, Then I will stay inside. Law of Syllogism If it rains, I will stay inside. If I stay inside, I will play Monopoly. If it rains, I will play Monopoly. Is that right?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I've done the other three if you could check them, that'd be great :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's it : )

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Could you check the other three I have?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Actually, could you check the whole file?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is it?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

That should be it, all the answers should have a yellow highlight. :)

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I have to go atm, but I should be back tomorrow and I'll check back on openstudy so don't hesitate to send me a message or reply or anything! Thank you so much! I appreciate it :D
