the 2013 one is happening now so the lectures haven't been given nor recorded yet, so i don't know why someone would recommend them. for the other ones, it probably comes down to which instructor you like best. i've watched the first couple videos from both and they seem to be repeating the exact same material. i'm going with 2011, my thought being that they might've tweaked it for the better.

because i took the 2012 one and its was great ...so i can imagine only improvements on the 2013 one..plus you have the possibility for a certificate...and feedback on your progress....so i dont know why not to recommend it...

The Spring 2011 course is part of the "OCW Scholar" series, so it is a complete stand-alone course that doesn't need additional materials. The 2008 class isn't, so that was a factor in my decision to go with 2011.

Thanks for your answers guys. Right now I am working on other stuff too, so I don't think I can catch up with the 2013 program. I guess I will continue with the 2011 one.
