At a golf tournament, a golfer hits a ball on the fairway, launching it at an angle of 37° to the horizontal. Given that the ball's flight time is 4.8 seconds:
a) calculate it's initial velocity
b) calculate it's horizontal range

I thought that you have:
a = -9.8 m/s²
Δt = 4.8 s
Δdy = 0 m

I used the equation Δdy = v1yΔt + 1/2aΔt² to figure out v1y but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track.
