Say you have 20 cases that have a different prize ranging from a car to a bucket. What is the probability that within the first 5 cases you don't open the car?

odds of getting it with the first one are 1 in 20 on the second one however the odds are 1 in 19 the third is 1 in 18 fourth 1 in 17 fifth 1 in 16 can you work it out from here?

so I would just multiply the odds of each pick?

remember that you're trying to work out the odds of not getting the car. the odds of not getting the car the first time is 1 in 19
