A MICROmeter is ONE MILLIONTH of a meter. That means that if you take one meter, and cut it up into a million equal pieces, then each one of those pieces is a MICROMETER. ~~~~~~~~~ A NANOmeter is even smaller. It's ONE BILLIONTH of a meter. That means that if you take one meter, and cut it up into a billion equal pieces, then each one of those pieces is a NANOMETER.
