OpenStudy (zpupster):

and your question is??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The figure below shows the cross section of the scale model of a roof of a house. I WILL DOWNLOAD THE PICTURE!! What is the length of the height RS of the roof rounded to the nearest tenth? 9.5 inches 16.5 inches 16.1 inches 45.5 inches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am a little confused with this one!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anybody have any idea how to do this?

OpenStudy (raden):

first, get the value of PS PS = PQ-SQ = 20-13 = 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay!!

OpenStudy (raden):

then to get RS, use the formula : RS^2 = PS * SQ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright :)

OpenStudy (raden):

so, RS^2 = 7 * 13 RS^2 = 91

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooo and then you square root it right??

OpenStudy (raden):

just take the squareroot, giving us RS = sqrt(91)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) 9.5 thank you so much for your help!!!

OpenStudy (raden):

you're welcome :)
