How would you solve the following? 0.2052=x/(e^x) The answer is 2.500, but I do not know how to solve the equation to get the answer

Use Newton-Rhapson method for finding roots.

What is the Newton-Rhapson method?

OpenStudy (phi):

You could graph y=\(x e^{-x} \) and see where it intersects y= 0.2052 The reality is that you use numerical methods to solve this kind of equation. or use wolfram http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=0.2052%3Dx%2F%28e%5Ex%29
