How can you tell if something is a one-to-one function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if dat function b like a line BECAUSE IT B LINEAR INdePendent! Get it because a line and linear sound similar?!!! I hope that's not 2 punny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait what...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has to be linearly independent. This is for linear algebra right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nah this is just algebra 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That wouldn't be one to one because it fails the horizontal line test. You can draw a horizontal line and it touches two points. If it was one to one it would only touch one point
