Use the intermediate value theorem for polynomials to show that each polynomial function has a real zero between the numbers given. f(x)=2x^2-7x+4 ; 2 and 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in 2, that is find \(f(2)\) then find \(f(3)\) one will be positive , one will be negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since polynomials are continuous, if it is positive somewhere and negative somewhere else, it must be zero in between

and that's it.
