given p(x) + 2x^3+x^2-11x-10. You already know that (-2,0) is a root of this equation. Find the other roots of this polynomial. Then write it in factored form. What would be the equation for the polynomial. Your help is much needed! Thank you in advance!

I'm pretty confident you mean p(x) = 2x^3+x^2-11x-10, right?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If you know that \(x=-2\) is a root of the equation, that means that you can divide \(p(x)\) by \((x+2)\). What do you have left after you do so?
