OpenStudy (adunb8):

anyone know how they got \[-\pi (1/24)^2\] on the other side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's the area of the hole

OpenStudy (adunb8):

i want to know how they came up with that... is that given?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

The hole is 1 inch, right? That's 1/12 of a foot...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 1 inch or 1/12 ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 2 to get radius

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

diameter = 1/12, radius = 1/24

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

it's like an echo chamber in here :-)

OpenStudy (adunb8):

oh i see!! wow thanks! gawd i hate this kind of books! they dont explain all the way...

OpenStudy (adunb8):
