What is manifest destiny?
1.The 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.
when the people expanded west .
@samtasticc
When people expanded west to find their own land and to 'conquer' the 'new world'. Ok so when you think about manifest destiny think about lots of wagons & families packing up to go west and start their lives in a new land. It would take months for them to get there, so they had to have supplies, wagons, animals to pull their wagons, weapons etc. I believe there is an actually meaning behind 'manifest destiny': It was the belief of the people of the colonies that the US had a 'destiny' to expand west! (and run off all of the natives too, YAY!) Does... that answer that for you?
P.s. LOTS of information on manifest destiny on the internet - it's no small topic, there are plenty of like 'branches' into new topics and questions on manifest destiny. It's a broad topic I should say. Is this for another project or something?
thanks sami :3
Is this for like - a project or something? American history is hardly fascinating, but manifest destiny/expansion was always my favorite part (also because of the native americans, mostly).
Oh and anytime, I'm only good with History lol
