I need some help plz!! An observation tower in a national park is shown. The ladder is 3 feet away from the post and the post has a length of 12 feet. THE PICTURE IS ATTACHED BELOW!!!!!! What type of triangle does the ladder form with the ground and the post? acute scalene acute isosceles right scalene right equilateral I am pretty sure it is not a right triangle but....what is it???
I attached the picture.....is anybody good with this stuff?? You don't have to give me the answer if you don't want to but a little help would be great!!!
Hey! do you think you could help?
Refer to the attachment.
okay...so scalene is unequal sides!! okay so it wouldn't be a right scalene it would be acute scalene right??
One of the angles of a right triangle has to be 90 degrees by definition. Notice the angle between the 3 and 12 foot sides. The answer is: right scalene
umm.......I am confused doesn't it have to equal 180 degrees??
sorry for asking so many questions...
The sum of all of the angles of any triangle is 180 degrees by proof. By the way, in all of my math studies, I never had occasion to use the word scalene.
lol scalene is a weird word :)............and now I understand!! thank you so much for all your help :) I will give you a medal!!!
have a good day :)
I am glad I could be of help.
you were! thanks again!!
