I need some help plz!!
An observation tower in a national park is shown. The ladder is 3 feet away from the post and the post has a length of 12 feet.

What type of triangle does the ladder form with the ground and the post?

acute scalene

acute isosceles

right scalene

right equilateral

I am pretty sure it is not a right triangle but....what is it???

okay...so scalene is unequal sides!! okay so it wouldn't be a right scalene it would be acute scalene right??

One of the angles of a right triangle has to be 90 degrees by definition. Notice the angle between the 3 and 12 foot sides.

The answer is: right scalene

The sum of all of the angles of any triangle is 180 degrees by proof.

By the way, in all of my math studies, I never had occasion to use the word scalene.
