I need help with graphing systems of equations; x=1 2x+y=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u not know how to do it or....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have an idea but i always do it wrong.. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know how to graph x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know how to graph y=-2x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not exactly thats were i get confuseed..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. so what u have to do is to plug in numbers like 0,1,2,3.. and plot the points. u then just connect the dots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u plug the numbers into x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on let me try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i used 1 for x and i got y=2 is that what im suposed to do ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup. and then plot those points on a graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the same graph that u plotted x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me when u have the whole graph plotted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u have both equations on one graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u now have the system graphed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u r done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cool thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
