Find the value of x to the nearest degree.
\[\tan(x)=\frac{19}{12}\] \[x=\tan^{-1}(\frac{19}{12})\]
wait when i put it in the calculator i got 1.00?
and yunus you have two answers which one would i use?
no it is just one. 57.72 degree. i think you made a mistake in calculating.
ohh okayy thank you
thank you soo much again your really smart :)
can you tell me what tan(unknown)38 is?
ur welcome. tan unknown?
yeah
Find the missing value to the nearest hundredth.
if you r asking the value of tan38 then it is 0.781
well the answers i see are 88.49 61.25 65.25 44.25
tan then its a number you gotta figure out equals 38
ohh it is 88.49
oh thank you soo much
Do you have a calculator? you can find these things by using arctan function of calculators. OR you can search for a trigonometric table on internet and it is easily found. by using this trigonometric table you can see corresponding values of trigonometric funtions.
ur welcome :)
i have a calculator it has -tan and tan but idk how to get it
okay let me explain a little. tanx=y. x is value of degree. y is the corresponding value of tanx. you apply tan function on x and find y. to find x by using y value, you can use \[\tan^{-1}\] funtion. \[\tan ^{-1}y=x\]
oh okay i understand a little clearer now
