In animals, A "spindle" of microtubules form, and at each end of this spindle is a centriole (present only in animals). In plants, a spindle is there but with no centrioles. In animals, Cytokinesis (or the division of the cytoplasm to form two daughter cells) happens by way of cleavage furror that pinches the plasma membrane of the animal cell. In plants, cytokinesis happens by virtue of the formation of cell plates that form in the middle of the mother cell, the cell plates gather and become a rigid cell wall and thus separates two daughter cells.
