Parth (parthkohli):

Hey guys, just a little suggestion if you don't mind. Please don't use TeX formatting in groups other than Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry when you don't need to. This only slows the website down. If you want to, please try to use LaTeX as less as possible in birthday posts. Thank you!

mathslover (mathslover):

LaTeX makes the post attractive and beautiful... I think there must NOT be any restriction or any idea to not use LaTeX in b'day posts , OS amby's group or any ..

Parth (parthkohli):

I actually said that you can use LaTeX in birthday posts, where a post is nice when attractive. But sometimes in the other groups, when people use too much of TeX, then the post begins to lack professionalism and loses its true meaning. If you guys wanna play around with MathJax, search for the LaTeX Practicing! :) group.

Parth (parthkohli):

Just as people hate the overuse of Comic Sans, they hate the overuse of LaTeX.

mathslover (mathslover):

I don't think that all the people hate the overuse of LaTeX or that of comic sans . It depends on the choice. Though, we should be independent to use it ... In most of the tutorials, LaTeX has been used completely ...

Parth (parthkohli):

One needs LaTeX in tutorials.

mathslover (mathslover):

but not in sentences

mathslover (mathslover):

One needs LaTeX to make the sentences bold

Parth (parthkohli):

That's right: one never needs LaTeX to write sentences with one exception -- underlining and boldness. That's right

mathslover (mathslover):

LaTeX can be used in quotes also, right?

Parth (parthkohli):

But you need not write everything with color or boldness. Waste of database memory.

Parth (parthkohli):

Not really, but you can quote people with code blocks. What kind of quotes are you talking about?

Parth (parthkohli):

There's a phenomenon that when you make a thing too cute, it starts to look creepy.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[\text{oh}\]

OpenStudy (opcode):

No! Opcode needs the LaTeX :3 I like bold things :3 Things are sometimes important :3 So I have to bold them using LaTeX or I could start writing in caps :P Yes, problem solve I'll just use CAPs instead of LaTeX :-).

Parth (parthkohli):

I didn't tell you to not use it at all! I just told you to minimize using it at all times.
