What is the surface area of a circle that has a diameter of 14 inches

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

You're sure it's a circle and not a sphere? Like, a flat circle? Because surface area is for 3-dimensional stuff, methinks :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is surface area is pi*(radius^2). in this problem radius is 14/2=7 inches. So the surface area is 3.14*7^2=153.86 inch^2
